March 2011: Book Night

RSVP to the Facebook Event here

On Tuesday 22md March, we will be joined by Persephone Books for an evening of bookish delight.

Chiara Allsup, from Persephone Books will be opening the meeting with a short talk, followed by Q&A session.

Persephone Books is an independent publisher which publishes neglected and forgotten 20th Century texts, both fiction and non-fiction; by women, for women or about women. Founded in 1999 by Nicola Beauman, the printing house also has a beautiful shop on Lamb’s Conduit Street, which sells the distinctive books with their dove-grey covers and vintage fabric print endpapers.

After that we’ll be getting crafty with some notebook/ journal making. Please bring with you an old book for up-cycling, and any bits of paper, photographs or cuttings that you might wish to embellish with, scissors and glue.

Members: please bring £30 to pay for 2011 fees
Vistitors welcome to join on the night
